Hailed as "a master of visual composition" by Dance Magazine, award-winning choreographer Jessica Lang transforms classical ballet forms into artfully crafted contemporary works. Her pieces incorporate elements of music, opera, film and art to create dances that blend the the rigor, elegance, and beautiful lines of ballet. Lang's New York-based company comes to the Chicago Architecture Biennial for a collaboration with celebrated architect Steven Holl. The performance will be inspired by sculpture and use visually stunning sets and costumes to invoke the theme of the event -- and create an emotional and moving show.
