Rock Baby Rock is a family-friendly and fun-for-all-ages show starring Lance Lipinsky, an original cast member in the hit Chicago musical Million Dollar Quartet where he played the role of Jerry Lee Lewis. Guests of Rock Baby Rock can dance and sing along as the show celebrates the birth and history of the Rock & Roll era of the late 1940s to mid 1960s, featuring major hits from some of the biggest artists of the era including "Great Balls of Fire," by Jerry Lee Lewis, "Shake Rattle & Roll," by Bill Haley & the Comets, "Don't' Be Cruel" by Elvis Presley, "The Twist" by Chubby Checker and Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue".
Rock Baby Rock also celebrates history in Chicago by explaining how the city's music scene and its players helped shape Rock & Roll, including the historic records in pop music that were recorded on the Chess and Vee Jay recording labels on South Michigan Avenue, also known as "Record Row".
Audience members have the opportunity to experience the history of the music in person through Hard Rock Cafe's world-renowned memorabilia that is showcased during the performance. Fans can get up close and personal with the priceless displays as Lance performs songs based around the history of the items including Ray Charles' famous tuxedo and two guitars owned by Rock & Roll giants Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry.
Rock Baby Rock also features the 'Lovettes', three charming babes that honor the biggest female artists and girl groups of the 1950s & 60s, performing the hits like Betty Everett's "It's In His Kiss" which was recorded on the Vee Jay recording label in Chicago in 1964, in addition to songs from the Andrew Sisters, the McGuire Sisters, Lavern Baker, Connie Francis, The Ronnettes and Etta James.
