Visiting Chicago all the way from New York City, the co-artistic directors of the legendary Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center -- cellist David Finckel, pianist Wu Han and a longtime collaborator, violinist Philip Setzer -- present the Trio Concert, an extraordinary program proudly presented by the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Together, these seasoned musicians will perform three works written specifically for a trio ensemble: Beethoven's playful Trio in G major, Shostakovich's somber Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor and Dvorak's famous Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor -- known affectionately as "Dumky," of course. Three is a magic number at this performance: three stellar musicians, three moving pieces of music and the subtle power of three instruments played in perfect harmony.
