Actor-comedian Ashley Strand is a self-described big, bald man with a little girl's name. Whether he's riffing on hate groups wanting to branch out with metrosexual members, or lamenting his forgetting the rules of dating, Strand brings an actor's delivery and charm to the stage. The New York comedian, who also happens to be a trained Shakespearean actor, has toured the world, winning the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition in 2009. He's also written and performed three one-man shows, including Gorified Disasters at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and shared the stage with Doug Stanhope, Reggie Watts and Mick Foley. Catch Strand when he hits the stage at The WIP Theater in Chicago.
