Activities

  • Climb to the top of America's tallest building
  • Observe the city skyline from the Skydeck
  • Walk out onto a clear glass ledge and look down
  • Learn about the city with interactive exhibits
  • Have lunch at one of the tower's restaurants
Step out into the sky on a ledge made of glass and just try not to look down. Extending 4.3 feet outside of the Skydeck at over 1,353 feet in the air, these see-through ledges induce knee wobbling, hand holding and possibly squeals of terror. Don’t miss your chance to step outside the box.
You can take public transportation to the Willis Tower on the CTA Brown Line; get off at the Quincy/Wells stop and walk one block west. If you drive, parking is available in a garage across from the tower on Franklin Street and will cost around $20.

FAQs

Should I buy my tickets in advance?

You can save time by purchasing your tickets in advance online. Buy individual tickets, combine a visit to the Skydeck with a Chicago Citypass, or purchase a Fast Pass to use the express line to the elevators.

When is the best time to go?

The best time to visit is just after opening or after 5PM. Sunset viewing is particularly popular, while many people prefer the darker evening hours and the twinkling lights of the city. Avoid weekends and holidays if you don’t like crowds.
